Leonard "Bud" Simmons Park Grand Re-Opening

If you didn't make it to this park on Saturday, then you missed a great event! The hard work of Council Woman Kim Shaw, Mayor Holley, Senator Lesniak and Roselle Council have shown that Roselle is on the move. I had the honor of photographing the event today and I was so impressed from the second that I walked up to the entrance. There are so many details, from checker board tables to the the Roselle emblem carved into each bench, to the many flowers and plants placed through out the park. Oh, and let us not forget the beautiful shaded Gazebo! Here are some of the highlights for you to enjoy. Please stop by and check it out. you will be amazed.
Thank you to all involved!!!! Note: This park is located on the corner of Pine Street and 2nd. Ave across from the senior center!

Memorial Day 2013

Martin Luther King, Jr. "Day of Service" In Roselle

Roselle had its first annual community MLK Day of Service this year and happily I can say that it was a huge success! The turn out for this event was amazing. There was a surprise visit from Senator Raymond J. Lesniak and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan who spoke at the opening ceremonies along with Mayor Jamel C. Holley. The R.O.S.E. (Roselle Office of Service and Engagement), The Princess Foundation, Roselle 24/7 and many other volunteers and organizations, worked to put together a great program with many different events for the entire community to participate. Many thanks go out to EVERYONE who helped make this event happen and also the businesses who donated to the event.

Roselle Candlelight Vigil
